Food is great! Although there were a lot of items in the menu at the time that were unavailable, maybe because this is their furthest branch from manila. But I hope it improves in the nearest future.Services is just okay! They are a bit understaffed at the time of our visit, we had a bit of a difficulty trying to get their attention in both having our orders, asking for water and billing out..I hope this greatly improve in the nearest future. We will definitely visit again since we love Mama Lou's when we were still living in Manila, and we are glad that it is here up north in SM City Bataan!
We went there a few weeks after their opening and the majority of their specialties were already unavailable. And even though we have to settle for other things, we still had a nice dinner. The several kinds of pasta that we ordered were flavorful and distinct from each other. Notable pasta was their mussels one and the least was their truffle carbonara. Their Mama's Pesto Al Pollo was great, there were surprise vegetables in it like green beans and potatoes, but still great nonetheless. And their Ribeye Steak Salpicao was very tender. We ordered the Mama Lou's Special thin crust pizza and it was delicious. We were informed that the pizza comes with arugula but was currently unavailable yet still ordered it to try. The crust was fantastic and the combination of salty cheese, cured meats, and fresh mango was actually nice.Service was fantastic and very patient since we had to go through such time ordering, checking if the food was available and if not, looking again for a new dish that's hopefully available that day. I look forward to trying more dishes from this restaurant.
the food is good, but as another reviewer wrote, many of the items are not available.NOT available:all meat pizzacannoli.ended ordering a large pepperoni, truffle fries, and two plates of spaghetti with meatballs.pizza crust was nice and thin.spaghetti was nicely done, good pomodoro sauce with none of that horrid sweet taste that my local family like in theirs.but...mama lou's needs to find a better source of their meatballs, because i ended spitting out a bunch of inedible gristle from the meatballs (see photo).also know they also add a service charge to your bill.i'd still give 'em another try, but next time i'm ordering carbonara, NOT spaghetti.

Reviews
Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen in Bataan has received mixed reviews, with patrons praising the flavorful and distinct pasta dishes like mussels pasta and Mama's Pesto Al Pollo, as well as the tender Ribeye Steak Salpicao. The thin crust pizza was a hit despite some unavailable toppings. However, there were concerns about menu items frequently being unavailable, slow service due to understaffing issues, and inconsistent quality of dishes like meatballs. While some diners appreciated the top-notch salads and creamy spinach ravioli, others criticized the lackluster customer service and staff professionalism.

Salad is top notch with fresh greens and the dressing was superb! Spinach ravioli is in the right creaminess and flavor!! Love every visit!
My first time to dine in at Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen. It's a bit pricey but the serving is good for 2 naman na. Service is a bit slow, we've waited for our pasta and rice based meal to be served for about 35 minutes. The restaurant ambience is okey. All in all we had a good experience naman. Need to improve lang about the speed of serving the foods ordered but in totality it's good.
